General Description / Primary Purpose

The Change Manager collaborates with the Project Management Office to initiate change management activities and awareness across campus, focusing on new products and processes originating in ITS. The position partners with departments to facilitate successful adoption of change, ensuring stakeholders are engaged and supported throughout the transition. This includes coaching supervisors on change initiatives, consulting with campus leadership to establish actionable strategies, and developing plans to address resistance to required change.

Job Functions

- Apply industry-standard change management methodologies, tools, and best practices to lead successful change initiatives.
- Design and deliver strategic communications and engagement that promote understanding and adoption of change among diverse audiences through written, verbal, and presentation formats.
- Manage the execution of fit-for-purpose change management strategies and plans.
- Evaluate the impact of proposed changes by conducting impact analyses, assessing organizational readiness, and identifying key stakeholders.
- Support training planning, documentation, and delivery.
- Serve a primary role on the IT Change Advisory Board (CAB)
- Identify risks, resistance, and mitigation strategies for change initiatives.
- Develop and maintain change management plans and supporting materials.
- Engage stakeholders, project teams, and leadership to support change adoption.
- Integrate change management activities into project plans and implementation.
- Assess organizational readiness, monitor adoption, and track issues.

Marginal Functions

- Coordinate cross-functional efforts and support enterprise-wide change management.
- During declared campus emergencies, this position may be required to perform specific job-related duties at a designated off-campus location or place of residence.

Required Qualifications
Master's and 1+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.

- A proven track record of successful work in a team environment is vital. This ideal candidate must demonstrate a willingness to collaborate across divisional offices to deliver high-impact engagements for campus constituents.
- The candidate must remain engaged in leading change management initiatives, even when confronted with stakeholder resistance.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with an active role as part of a team.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and quality of work product.
- Build and sustain professional relationships.
