- Hours: 5:00 AM–3:30 PM
- Overtime: As needed

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic press equipment to produce quality parts according to production specifications and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

- Safely set up, operate, and monitor stamping and press equipment.
- Produce quality parts according to work orders, drawings, specifications, and production schedules.
- Load and unload materials and finished parts from press equipment.
- Perform measurements and quality inspections throughout the production process.
- Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and tape measures to verify part dimensions.
- Visually inspect parts for defects and identify non-conforming products.
- Perform basic calculations and adjustments related to measurements and bends.
- Complete production records, quality checks, route tickets, and work orders using computer systems.
- Set up and operate assembly and production equipment as required.
- Assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting as directed.
- Follow department procedures, work instructions, and production standards.
- Report safety concerns, equipment issues, and process changes to the Supervisor or Assistant Supervisor.
- Report any non-conforming product or quality concerns promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and proper PPE requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Assistant Supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills

- Previous experience operating press machines, stamping presses, or manufacturing equipment preferred.
- Ability to operate mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic presses.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine setup and operation.
- Ability to read and follow work orders, drawings, production schedules, and safety procedures.
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools preferred.
- Basic math skills for measurements, adjustments, and quality checks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to visually inspect parts and identify defects.
- Basic computer skills and ability to maintain accurate production records.
- Ability to troubleshoot minor equipment or production issues.
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Frequently bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move raw materials, finished parts, and tooling weighing up to 50 pounds , with assistance or mechanical aids when appropriate.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operating press controls, handling parts, and using measuring instruments.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand, arm, and upper-body movements.
- Sufficient vision to read work instructions, machine displays, and inspect parts for quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Ability to hear machine sounds, alarms, and verbal instructions in a manufacturing environment.
- Comfortable working around noise, vibration, moving machinery, metal materials, lubricants, and varying temperatures.
- Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe footwear, and hearing protection .
