Assembler / Kitter / Light Fabricator
Job Summary
We are hiring Assemblers, Kitters, and Light Fabricators to join an automotive manufacturing team in Lafayette, IN. This is a full-time, hands-on production position working on an assembly line. The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assemble automotive components according to established procedures and specifications
- Use basic hand tools and equipment as needed
- Gather, sort, and organize parts and materials for production
- Perform light fabrication and production tasks
- Inspect parts and completed assemblies for quality and accuracy
- Follow production schedules and meet daily productivity expectations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all company safety rules and procedures
- Work effectively as part of a team on an assembly line
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, production, or warehouse experience is helpful but not required
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work at a consistent pace in a production environment
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to use basic hand tools
- Must be able to work the assigned shift
Schedule
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Pay
- $13.50–$14.50 per hour , based on experience/assignment
