Role Overview
In this role, you will manage raw material purchasing activities, monitor inventory needs, and coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to avoid disruptions in production. You will use SAP and planning data to support purchase orders, track open items, and follow up on deliveries, shortages, and lead times.
What you will do
- Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to confirm material specifications and purchasing needs.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with logistics to maintain material flow and prevent production interruptions.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships through clear and professional communication.
- Implement purchasing strategies to support cost control and delivery timing.
- Release purchase orders based on MRP signals and inventory requirements.
- Track open orders, confirm delivery dates, and resolve delays with suppliers.
- Maintain system data for lead times, order quantities, and delivery dates in SAP.
- Follow up on shortages and escalate issues that could affect production plans.
- Review planning parameters such as safety stock and reorder points.
- Support warehouse, receiving, and production scheduling activities as needed.

- You will succeed as one team by working openly with production, quality, logistics, and suppliers to reach the same operational goals.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in raw material purchasing or procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, MRP, and inventory management.
- Proficiency in SAP ERP systems.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
- Advanced intermediate English proficiency for communication with international suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Valid visa or work authorization, depending on the hiring location.
