Job Summary
The position to which you are applying is represented by a collective bargaining unit, Massachusetts Nurses Association.

Reimagine what physical therapy can look like.

At Mass General Brigham Home Care, you’ll step outside clinic walls and into meaningful, one-on-one care—helping patients regain mobility, independence, and confidence where it matters most: at home.

As a Physical Therapist, you’ll have the independence to use your clinical judgment, manage your schedule, and build meaningful relationships with patients, without giving up the support of a strong team.

Join our Paul Marathon team
Most visits will be in Allston, Brighton, Brookline and Chestnut Hill, with the team also covering Belmont, Newton Corner, Newtonville, and Watertown.

You’ll work with a diverse urban patient population and help patients meet their goals in the environment where they live every day.

Why you’ll like this team
You have independence, but you’re not on your own.
•A schedule that works for you: Full-time, Monday–Friday, no evenings, 5–6 visits per day, with the flexibility to manage your own schedule and appointments.
•Work in Boston’s beautiful, historic neighborhoods: Enjoy the unique character of Boston while providing care in patients’ homes and building meaningful one-on-one relationships in the community.
•Dedicated Admission PT support: Dedicated Admission Physical Therapists support new patients coming into the service line and help establish their plan of care, allowing you to focus more of your time on ongoing patient visits.
•Time to do the job right: Dedicated time for documentation, chart review, visit preparation, and care coordination. In some areas, you can walk between visits, and mileage is reimbursed for travel between patients. City parking passes are provided for new team members.
•Strong team support: Weekly interdisciplinary pod meetings, monthly team meetings, and quarterly in-person team days.
•Support to grow: Ongoing training, education, and opportunities to collaborate across disciplines.

Use your clinical judgment
In home care, you get to see the whole picture. You’ll evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and help them work toward their goals in the environment where they live—with a team there when you need support.

A strong start matters
Home care can be a big transition, especially if you’re coming from a hospital or outpatient setting. Our onboarding is designed to help you feel prepared and confident working independently in the community. You’ll also have ongoing opportunities for training, education, and professional development.

Your time matters, too
Your schedule includes dedicated time for documentation, chart review, visit preparation, and care coordination. Our MGB electronic documentation system gives you easy access to doctors’ notes and orders, helping make communication and care coordination more seamless.

Your safety matters
Because our clinicians work independently in the community, we provide safety resources to support you in the field, including:
•GPS-enabled safety tools
•Real-time alert features
•Security-supported key fob access

What you’ll do
As a Physical Therapist, you’ll provide one-on-one care in patients’ homes, helping them improve mobility, safety, and independence.
You’ll:
•Evaluate patients and develop individualized care plans
•Provide PT focused on mobility, strength, balance, and function
•Recommend fall prevention and home safety strategies
•Educate patients and caregivers
•Track progress and adjust care as needed
•Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
