As the Manager, Credentials Verification Office (CVO), you will lead a high-performing team responsible for ensuring providers across UVA Health are credentialed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

In this leadership role, you will oversee day-to-day credentialing operations, drive quality and audit readiness, and partner with stakeholders across the health system to support a seamless provider onboarding experience. The Role

As the Manager, Credentials Verification Office, you will provide operational leadership for credentialing verification activities across UVA Health and affiliated entities. Working closely with the Director of the Credentials Verification Office, you will help ensure credentialing processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with organizational priorities.

On a typical day, you will balance team leadership, workflow oversight, quality review, and collaboration with internal partners to keep credentialing activities moving forward while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading and developing a credentialing team, providing coaching, performance management, training, and ongoing professional development.
- Managing credentialing workflows, assignments, and priorities to ensure files progress efficiently through the verification process.
- Monitoring workload, turnaround times, productivity, file quality, and operational performance metrics.
- Ensuring credentialing files are complete, accurate, audit-ready, and prepared for release to Medical Staff Offices and other stakeholders.
- Supporting regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, delegated credentialing requirements, and internal or external audits.
- Identifying workflow challenges, resolving operational issues, and driving process improvements that enhance efficiency and consistency.
- Partnering with Medical Staff Offices, provider onboarding teams, and other internal stakeholders to support provider readiness and organizational goals.
- Utilizing credentialing technology, including CredentialStream or comparable platforms, to optimize operations and reporting.
- Providing hands-on support and leadership during high-volume periods, audit activities, system changes, and evolving operational needs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Experience: +4 years relevant professional experience, to include 2+ years formal management experience required.

Licensure: NAMSS certification is required within 1 year of hire.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive) and repetitive motion: computer keyboard. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull less than 20lbs. May be exposed to chemicals.

The pay range for this role is $109,147.00 - $218,293.00 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
