About this role

## Position Summary

The Material Handler I is responsible for the safe movement of Customer products. Safely and accurately process routine and moderately complex Customer products according to established specifications and procedures within FDA, ISO, and GMP guidelines using work instructions and operating system knowledge. Depending on the modality in which this role operates (i.e. Gamma). This is a highly physical role that will require you to get certified in operating a Forklift.

Shift Hours: Day Shift (7:30 am-7:30 pm).

Pay Range: $20-23 hourly based on experience

## What You'll do as a Material Handler II

- Safely and accurately process Customer products according to established procedures within FDA, ISO, and GMP guidelines.
- Utilize handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to transfer Customer product through the sterilization process.
- Load and unload Customer product manually or using automated equipment into the validated sterilization process.
- Place and retrieve monitoring devices on product to ensure proper sterilization levels.
- Comply with all health and safety requirements to work within facilities that utilize various industrial sterilization modalities; complete training and annual certification to use personal. protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses, safety shoes, respiratory protection equipment (SCBA)).
- Ensure safety and quality in all aspects of the job.
- Other duties as assigned.

## The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed

Required:

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Having the ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Preferred:

- Forklift experience is considered a plus.
- A minimum of two (2) years of warehousing/manufacturing experience.

Other:

- Ability to effectively read, write and verbally communicate.
- Ability to work independently under general guidelines and supervision.
- Requires the ability to navigate through defined computer screens.
- Requires effective interpersonal skills as demonstrated through prior experience.
- Able to adapt to changing duties and responsibilities.
- Normal hearing range sufficient to hear alarms, bells, horns, etc.

## Education Degree

- High School Diploma or GED

## Skills

- Subject to passing Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) required background check.
- Ability to effectively read, write and verbally communicate.
- Ability to work independently under general guidelines and supervision.
- Requires ability to navigate through defined computer screens.
- Above average organizing and analysing skill and Level 2 math skill (four basic arithmetic functions in all units of measurement, decimals ratios, rates, percentages) to determine organizational, Customer and regulatory problems and formulate corrective action plans; attention to detail.
- Requires effective interpersonal skills as demonstrated through prior experience.
- Able to adapt to changing duties and responsibilities.
- Normal hearing range sufficient to hear alarms, bells, horns, etc.
- Ability to operate a forklift

Pay range for this opportunity is $20.00 - $23.00 per hour.  This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
