Basic Job Functions:
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
The Construction Financial Analyst supports the Nucor Construction team and Division capital project teams through construction project cost analysis. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key internal teammates & external subcontractors
- Project budget reporting
- Project estimate vs. actual variance analysis
- Maintain the current estimate at completion
- Contract and productivity analysis
- Analyzing contractor data for performance and reporting results to project managers
- Developing and maintaining performance tracking reports and dashboards for contractor monthly reviews
- Assisting and/or leading contractor review meetings
Must be willing to work before and after regularly scheduled work hours as business conditions warrant.
This position is a fully in-office role located in Charlotte, NC and requires up to 50% travel to divisions and project sites, especially green field projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field
- Five or more years of relevant construction or capital project financial analysis experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project controls or cost management experience on large capital construction projects greater than $50 million
- CPA, CMA, or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or Construction Management
- Experience using Oracle EBS
- Experience with dashboard development in PowerBI or other business intelligence tools
