Role Purpose

You will help bring the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games to communities across Southern California and the country. As Senior Associate, Live Sites and Venue Experiences, you manage the review, contracting, and planning process for community-hosted events, and lead teams across LA28 in creating clear guides on how those events run and use LA28 assets. You coordinate marketing materials, manage project logistics and timelines, and represent Live Sites and Venue Experiences in cross-department planning, keeping every partner aligned on what happens, where, and when.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage the application review, contracting, and event planning process for community-hosted events in Southern California and nationally.

· Lead teams across LA28 to create practical guides on how events run, use LA28 assets, and follow restrictions.

· Lead the creation and review of communication materials, maps, and promotional content for Games-time parallel events.

· Manage project logistics, timelines, and plans, and represent Live Sites and Venue Experiences at inter-department working sessions.

· Partner with Games Delivery, External Affairs, Marketing, Fan Experience, Transportation, Brand, Legal, and Finance to keep deliverables aligned.

Required Competencies

· Minimum 4 years of work experience in event production, experiential marketing, or project management, ideally for public-facing events.

· Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder interests and find creative solutions that balance their needs with operational realities.

· Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, venue operations and production, HR, finance, and legal teams.

· Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, with experience building and scaling systems and workflows that measurably improve team performance.

· Experience managing event applications, contracting, or planning processes with external organizers, sponsors, or community partners across multiple locations.

· Experience in the Olympic or Paralympic Movement.

· Strong operational delivery and program execution skills.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

· Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office.

· The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.

· The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment.

· Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods.

· Perform other duties as required; the role will evolve over time and may include operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

· Ability to travel to site visits in and around Southern California.

Compensation

The annual base salary range for this position is $73,000 – $90,000. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28's operational business needs and applicable law.
