About this role

JOB SUMMARY

This full-time position works directly with families, case managers, Independent Support Coordinators, and Orange Grove personnel to ensure successful integrated employment opportunities for persons supported, coordinate transportation, and troubleshoot employment barriers. Flexible hours are needed to ensure successful community job placements as well as provide individual transport.

This position provides hands-on job coaching, which includes training in various job settings to familiarize the individual with specific job demands. The Job Coach develops positive relationships and educates employers and coworkers on the productive and positive qualities of people with disabilities.

Will assist the Lead Employment Specialist in completing Integrated Work Site Assessments, Vocational Adjustment Services, Supported and Non-Supported Employment Job Coaching, pre-employment Exploration services, and use Enabling Technology programs.

The Job Coach completes the necessary paperwork and reports to fulfill all Orange Grove, State, and Federal requirements and assists in meeting annual placement goals of Orange Grove Center.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Must complete the Job Coach Curriculum in Relias and other training programs as required. Successful, demonstrated work experience with the Tennessee Division of Rehabilitation Services and the Tennessee Medicaid Waiver program is preferred. Should be comfortable with computer technology and competent with MS Office applications. Clean driving record and proof of ongoing vehicle insurance coverage is required, plus ability to attain an F driving endorsement.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be in good overall physical health and have the personal stamina necessary to perform the duties of the position. A physical examination including a TB skin test or chest x-ray is required before employment. A work capacity form is included with this job description.

SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS

This position reports directly to the Lead Employment Specialist and will work directly with persons being supported in a variety of work environments.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: High School Diploma with 2 years successful experience in delivering employment related services; Associates or Bachelors with 1 year employment related services to individuals with disabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

This is a full-time position. The Job Coach can also be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and building relationships with community employers to secure employment opportunities that are consistent with the interests and qualifications of the individual. He or she will work with individuals, families, case managers, support teams, and all other stakeholders to ensure successful intakes, planning, placements, follow-along, and billing transactions, with the expectation to meet annual placement goals and track revenue and billing milestones for all program participants.

Additionally, this position will work with the Employment Services team to develop community employment opportunities for people supported participating in DDA Employment Services. Flexible hours will be required to ensure successful community relationship development and job placements.

Overall health must be adequate to allow for accomplishment of assigned duties and responsibilities. Must meet all requirements for employment at Orange Grove Center.
