At Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in advancing our health and safety programs across the United States and Puerto Rico. Your work will support our logistics operations, subsidiaries, and growing hyperscale and high-risk business environments while helping us maintain a strong safety-first culture.
As National Health & Safety Manager, you will oversee the operational execution of health and safety requirements across multiple locations and business areas. You will translate national strategy into practical programs, controls, training, and continuous-improvement initiatives while partnering with operational leaders, customers, contractors, and frontline teams.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Houston, Texas. The role is primarily on-site and requires national travel.

## How you create impact
In this leadership role, you will drive health and safety performance across national operations, ensuring compliance, reducing risk, and promoting a strong safety culture.
- Lead national health and safety programs across multiple locations
- Drive compliance with OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other regulatory requirements
- Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify improvement opportunities
- Lead incident investigations and corrective action initiatives
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs
- Partner with operational leaders to strengthen safety performance and culture
- Support customer requirements, audits, and operational readiness activities
- Travel throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico to support operational locations
## What we would like you to bring
We are seeking a safety leader with experience managing health and safety programs in high-risk environments and driving compliance across multiple locations.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Health, or a related field
- NEBOSH qualification or Occupational Health & Safety degree required
- 10+ years of health and safety experience in industrial, manufacturing, oil & gas, or other high-risk environments
- Experience leading multi-site or national health and safety programs
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, risk management, and incident investigations
- Experience auditing and implementing ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Fluent English; Spanish is a plus
- Ability to travel throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico
This position is based in Houston, TX and requires regular on-site attendance. Remote work is not available.
