About Us

The Role

This role is an important role, leading a team of clerical staff who prioritise customer service and who are the face of Monash Children's Hospital.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading, mentoring and supporting a team of clerical and admissions staff.

- Coordinating staff rostering, leave coverage and recruitment activities.

- Ensuring calls and admission requests are managed promptly, professionally and accurately.

- Managing patient admissions, transfers and discharges and overseeing reception and admissions services.

- Championing customer service excellence and a positive experience for patients, families and stakeholders.

- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and efficient service delivery.

About You

You are an experienced administrator who enjoys leading and supporting others while ensuring the day-to-day operations of a busy service run smoothly. You take pride in building positive working relationships, creating a supportive team environment and helping others to succeed.

You are organised, approachable and able to remain calm under pressure, with the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Your strong communication skills allow you to work effectively with a wide range of staff, patients and families, and you are comfortable making decisions, solving problems and adapting to changing demands.

Most importantly, you are passionate about delivering excellent customer service and recognise the important role administrative teams play in creating a positive experience for patients, families and visitors.
