About the team
The End User Technology Team is responsible for delivering, supporting, and continually improving the technology services that enable employees, distribution centres, retail operations, and support functions across Sigma Healthcare and Chemist Warehouse to work securely, efficiently, and productively. The team provides strategic leadership, governance, operational support, engineering expertise, and platform management across endpoint computing, collaboration services, workplace technology, mobility, identity, endpoint security, infrastructure integration, and digital employee experience.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of End User Technology, the Unified Communications Engineer will manage and enhance Sigma Healthcare’s voice, telephony, contact centre and collaboration platforms.
Working across RingCentral, Genesys, Microsoft Teams and Cisco Unified Communications, you’ll ensure reliable, high-quality communication services and an exceptional user experience. Partnering with internal teams, stakeholders, carriers and vendors, you’ll resolve incidents, support escalations and deliver continuous improvements across the UC environment.
Key responsibilities
- Administer and support the RingCentral cloud telephony platform, including user provisioning, call routing, IVRs, call queues, number management, and service optimisation.
- Manage and maintain the Genesys Contact Centre platform, ensuring reliable operation of customer service, pharmacy, and support centre communication services.
- Administer and support Microsoft Teams Phone System, including direct routing, calling plans, voice policies, call queues, auto attendants, and Teams-certified devices.
- Provide operational support and lifecycle management for Unified Communications (UC) technologies, ensuring high availability, performance, and user satisfaction.
- Manage and maintain Audio Visual (AV) technologies across corporate offices, meeting rooms, boardrooms, training facilities, and distribution centres.
- Monitor UC and AV platforms, proactively identifying and resolving incidents, service degradation, and capacity concerns.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for telephony, contact centre, conferencing, and AV-related incidents and problems.
- Partner with business stakeholders, vendors, and managed service providers to ensure communication services meet operational and business requirements.
- Ensure security, compliance, and governance requirements are maintained across voice, collaboration, recording, and conferencing platforms.
- Support project delivery activities including office fit-outs, site relocations, new facility deployments, contact centre enhancements, and technology refresh programs.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for a technically skilled professional who can support and improve enterprise communication and collaboration services.
- A tertiary qualification in IT or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience supported by relevant certifications.
- At least five years’ experience in enterprise IT, with a strong focus on voice, telephony and contact centre technologies.
- Hands-on experience with RingCentral, Genesys Cloud, Microsoft Teams and Teams Phone, Microsoft 365, Teams Rooms, SIP and telephony services.
- Experience supporting collaboration and meeting room technologies, including Yealink, Logitech, audio-visual, digital signage and presentation systems.
