What’s the role?

The Senior Data Engineer / BI Developer is responsible for the development, support, maintenance, and modernisation of enterprise reporting and business intelligence solutions across Snowflake, Power BI, Microsoft Azure, and Teradata.

Working closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and data consumers, this role delivers scalable reporting and data solutions, supports critical production platforms, resolves complex technical issues, and contributes to strategic migration initiatives from legacy technologies to Snowflake and modern cloud-based architectures.

The role plays a key part in ensuring that business-critical reporting platforms remain stable, secure, and fit for purpose while supporting banking, operational, customer, financial, and regulatory reporting requirements.

Please note that this is a 12-month maternity leave cover position. While the role is ideally based in Sydney, we are open to applications from interstate candidates.

What do I need?

- Minimum 5 years' experience delivering Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Reporting, or Data Warehouse solutions within large enterprise environments.

- Proven Banking and Financial Services industry experience is essential.

- Strong experience designing, developing, and supporting Snowflake solutions.

- Proven experience migrating reporting and data assets to Snowflake.

- Advanced Power BI development experience, including Power BI Desktop, DAX, Power Query, and semantic model development.

- Experience developing and supporting enterprise-scale dashboards and reporting solutions.

- Strong Teradata SQL and advanced SQL development skills.

- Strong understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modelling, and BI architecture.

- Experience developing and supporting data and reporting solutions within Azure would be advantageous.
