About this role
Location(s)

At Siemens, we create technology that transforms the everyday, for everyone. Australia may contribute around 1% of global emissions, but we know that every action matters. That’s why we empower our customers to do more with less: using less energy, reducing emissions, and building industries that shape a cleaner, smarter, and fairer future.
By combining the real and digital worlds, we help our customers transform their industries and markets and in turn, make a positive impact on the everyday lives of billions of people. Innovation, sustainability, and inclusivity are at the heart of what we do.
We’re looking for a recent graduate in Electrical Engineering to join our team in February 2027 (or earlier, if available). To be eligible, you’ll need to hold Australian or New Zealand permanent residency or citizenship.
About the Program Build real expertise, not just broad exposure Our 2-year graduate program is designed to help you grow into a confident professional with strong technical capability, commercial competence and lasting connections.
Rather than moving through short rotations, you’ll join one team and build depth in your role over time. That means more ownership, stronger mentoring, and a clearer view of how your work contributes to business outcomes.
Why You’ll Love Being Part of Our Team
- Enjoy 36 hours each year for learning and development
- Join us as a permanent team member from day one, with a comprehensive 2-year development program designed to accelerate your growth
- Opportunity to work 2–3 days from home each week with our hybrid work model
- Paid volunteering leave to give back to causes that matter to you
- Family-first culture including up to 16 weeks paid parental leave
- Take part in events, celebrations, and team-building activities to make connections and build your network
What You'll Be Doing
- Support the design and engineering of medium and low voltage electrical systems for real-world infrastructure and industrial projects.
- Work with experienced engineers to turn customer requirements and technical standards into practical engineering solutions.
- Help prepare drawings, technical documents and project deliverables that keep projects moving.
- Learn how to select and verify key electrical components for safe, reliable system design.
- Collaborate with project, manufacturing and technical teams to see projects progress from concept to delivery.
- Build your skills in a hands-on environment where you’ll solve problems and contribute from day one.
About You We know that talent comes in many forms, and we welcome applications from people with different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. You might be a great fit if you bring:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, with exposure to power systems through your studies
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence working with a range of stakeholders
- Curiosity, initiative, and an interest in innovation, AI and new ways of working
To be eligible for our graduate program, you’ll need to be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or hold Australian permanent residency at the time of application.
