Role objectiv e
The Senior Technical Lead serves as a bridge between system architecture and hands-on development, responsible for both designing technical solutions and guiding their implementation on our e.things cloud platform. Working collaboratively with Software Architects and Product Management, you will translate business requirements into detailed technical designs while leading development teams through implementation. Through a combination of architectural thinking and practical development expertise , you will ensure that complex features are delivered with both technical excellence and alignment to broader system design principles.

Responsibilities of the Senior Technical Lead will include but are not limited to:
Technical Design & Architecture
- Design detailed technical solutions for complex features and system components within the broader architectural framework
- Collaborate with Software Architects to refine high-level designs and ensure consistency with platform architecture
- Create technical specifications, component designs, and implementation roadmaps for development teams
- Evaluate and recommend technology choices, third-party integrations, and implementation approaches
- Participate in architectural reviews and contribute to platform evolution discussions
Development Leadership & Implementation
- Lead by example through hands-on development of critical components and complex technical challenges
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to 2-3 developers, fostering their growth in both coding and design thinking
- Break down architectural designs into implementable development tasks and user stories
- Conduct comprehensive code reviews focusing on both quality and architectural alignment
- Drive technical decision-making at the feature level while ensuring broader system consistency
Platform Expertise & Solution Delivery
- Develop and maintain deep expertise in the e.things platform architecture, data flows, and integration patterns
- Guide teams in implementing scalable, maintainable solutions that align with platform principles
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and integration challenges early in the development process
- Ensure robust error handling, monitoring, and performance optimization across delivered solutions
- Champion best practices in development, testing, and deployment workflows
Stakeholder Collaboration & Technical Communication
- Work closely with Business Analysts and Product Management to understand requirements and provide technical feasibility assessments
- Collaborate with Software Architects to validate approaches and seek guidance on complex design decisions
- Facilitate technical discussions between development teams, architecture, and product stakeholders
- Participate in customer meetings when required to understand technical requirements and constraints
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences

- Review and refine technical designs for current development projects
- Engage in hands-on development work on critical components or architectural prototypes
- Conduct code reviews with focus on both quality and architectural consistency
- Collaborate with Software Architects on design validation and technical approach refinement
- Provide technical guidance to team members on implementation challenges and design decisions

- Lead technical design sessions for new features and system enhancements
- Participate in sprint planning and provide technical estimation and feasibility input
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Management on upcoming requirements and technical trade-offs
- Mentor team members through design reviews and technical problem-solving sessions
- Work with other Technical Leads and Software Architects on cross-team technical initiatives

- Facilitate technical design reviews with broader engineering team and architecture stakeholders
- Assess and recommend improvements to development practices and technical standards
- Participate in platform architecture discussions and contribute implementation perspective
- Lead technical debt assessment and refactoring initiatives within your domain
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing across the organization

- Participate in quarterly architectural planning sessions aligned with product roadmap
- Conduct comprehensive technical assessments of platform components and integration points
- Lead strategic technical initiatives that span multiple development cycles
- Participate in hiring processes and technical assessment of new team members
- Contribute to long-term technical strategy through practical insights from development experience
Skills, interests, and experience required to succeed.
A successful Senior Technical Lead will:
Experience
- Proven experience in both software development and technical design roles, preferably 6+ years with demonstrated progression from developer to technical leadership
- Strong background in designing and implementing solutions within cloud-native architectures, microservices, and distributed systems
- Hands-on experience with connected vehicle technologies, IoT platforms, automotive telematics, or enterprise SaaS solutions is highly desirable
- Track record of successfully leading technical initiatives and mentoring development teams
- Experience working in collaborative environments with architects, product managers, and cross-functional teams
- Background in both detailed technical implementation and higher-level system design
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science , Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or comparable experience
- Strong proficiency in system design principles and architectural patterns
- Expert-level knowledge of our core technology stack with ability to make informed technology decisions
- Experience with technical documentation, system diagramming, and design communication tools
- Solid understanding of performance optimization, scalability patterns, and security best practices
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and production system monitoring
