Job Description:
This is a Software Validation Engineer position focused on FPGA-based technology and FPGA High-Level Design (HLD). The successful candidate will participate in the design, configuration, execution, and analysis of software performance benchmarking and validation test cases.
The role involves working closely with FPGA and FPGA HLD engineers and specialists to develop and maintain benchmarking solutions, analyze performance data, troubleshoot issues, and provide meaningful insights to stakeholders. The candidate will also collaborate with cross-functional teams on customized analysis and continuous improvement of test environments, methodologies, and automation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Translating complex use cases into testable features, requirements, and test scenarios.
- Setting up, configuring, and maintaining suitable test environments and infrastructure.
- Designing and executing software performance benchmarking and validation test cases.
- Collecting, validating, analyzing, and reporting benchmark and performance data.
- Analyzing test results, identifying performance issues, and debugging test failures.
- Developing and maintaining scripts and automation to improve test efficiency and repeatability.
- Collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to investigate issues and communicate findings.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of benchmarking methodologies, tools, and processes.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Knowledge and interest in software engineering, including areas such as AI and machine learning, software validation, test analysis, and performance benchmarking.
- Good fundamental knowledge of software and/or firmware verification and validation.
- Working knowledge of C/C++.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, TCL, or shell scripting.
- Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating environments.
- Basic understanding of FPGA programming and/or FPGA system design.
- Knowledge of Verilog/VHDL will be an added advantage.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Good communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within a technical team.
- Self-motivated and willing to continuously learn and work with emerging technologies, concepts, and innovative solutions.
