About this role

Job Description

The Production Planner / Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules that ensure on-time delivery to customers while optimizing manufacturing capacity, inventory levels, labor utilization, and material availability. This role works closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Procurement team to balance demand and supply while supporting operational efficiency and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Scheduling

- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer demand, forecast, inventory levels, and production capacity.
- Aligned with supply planner on the build plan and translate into executable manufacturing plans.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address capacity constraints, material shortages, equipment downtime, or changing customer priorities.
- Ensure effective line loading and balanced utilization across manufacturing work centers.

Materials Management

- Coordinate with Procurement teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Review material shortages and develop recovery plans to minimize production disruptions.
- Maintain optimal Raw material inventory levels while reducing excess and obsolete inventory.
- Support inventory control and cycle count activities.

Capacity Planning

- Analyze manufacturing capacity, labor availability, and equipment utilization.
- Identify bottlenecks and recommend actions to improve throughput.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and production to optimize production flow and resource allocation.
- Support long-term capacity planning and demand growth requirements.

Qualifications

Education

- Bachelor's Degree in: Industrial Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Supply Chain Management
- Business Administration
- Operations Management
- Related discipline

Experience

- 3-5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment preferred.

- Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, MES or equivalent.
