Would you like to be part of creating a unicorn within a unicorn? Solve some of the biggest challenges facing the financial inclusion of Bharat? Well, then here’s your chance! Financial Services (FS) is one of the fastest growing new businesses at Meesho. It's a large 10X opportunity for Meesho to build financial products for Bharat users and serve the unmet needs of millions of our users. And you will be at the center of this journey, building and scaling the business and serving millions of Meesho users. Meesho FS has several lines of products primarily in lending space for users and sellers of Meesho.
We aspire to create one of the country’s largest financial services businesses, drawing inspiration from global giants such as Alibaba, Shopee, and Mercado Libre, who have thrived in markets comparable to India and built large financial businesses.
About the Role
In this role, you will own the growth and governance of Meesho's Bank and NBFC partnerships across lending. Your first priority will be to scale existing partnerships by improving funnel performance, monitoring portfolio and risk, and deepening partner relationships. You will also lead new-partner integrations end to end, establish standard and increasingly automated operating processes, and build a qualified pipeline of new partners aligned with the supply roadmap. The role requires close collaboration with growth, credit risk, collections, product, technology, legal, compliance, finance, and operations teams to deliver timely launches and stable scale-up.
What you will do
- Own and grow existing Bank and NBFC partnerships by managing joint business plans, supply, funnel performance, and conversion, and by driving initiatives that increase disbursals and assets under management.
- Build deep relationships and strong governance with partner stakeholders across senior and working teams. Maintain regular engagement, understand strategic, policy, risk, and operational developments and provide timely internal and external updates.
- Track portfolio performance, funnel metrics, policy adherence, risk indicators, and operational health for each partner. Identify growth opportunities and emerging issues, and work with credit, growth, product, collections, and operations teams to improve the funnel and drive corrective actions.
- Lead new-partner integrations end to end, covering policy, commercial, legal, compliance, information-security, and tech construct alignment; UAT; launch; and post-go-live stability. Maintain clear owners, dependencies, milestones, and escalation paths so all teams deliver against a common timeline.
- Standardise and automate the partner integration and management playbook, including documentation, project trackers, governance forums, handoffs, and escalation processes, to reduce manual intervention and make execution faster and more predictable.
- Build a qualified pipeline of new Banks and NBFCs aligned with the supply roadmap and product and policy needs. Evaluate strategic fit, economics, risk appetite, and execution readiness, and drive the right partners from pitch and structuring through commercial and legal closure, onboarding, and launch.
- Executive communication: Write exec-level documents and present results and findings to senior management
What you will need
- 2-3 years of experience managing Bank and NBFC partnerships, preferably in a fintech or NBFC
- Good understanding of co-lending models, FLDG structures, and DLG guidelines
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills, with the ability to build trust across senior and working-level stakeholders and identify partner developments early
- Strong analytical ability to monitor partner funnels, portfolio performance, and risk metrics, and translate insights into growth initiatives or corrective actions
- High ownership, analytical skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated execution and program-management experience, including driving cross-functional integrations or other high-impact projects through launch and post-go-live stability
- Strong growth mindset and an inquisitive mindset, continuous problem solving to improve and grow the business
- Ability to independently drive problem statements and impact. Understand business needs and come up with right pitch and communication strategies
- First principles based critical thinking and data-led approach to problem-solving
What you will get
- A rare opportunity to build a large scale financial services business for millions of users
- Collaborate and drive growth of some of the latest fintech products and innovations
- End to end responsibility and ownership
- Once in a lifetime opportunity to create impact at scale
- Strong employee-friendly policies
- A fun and supportive team and leadership
