Ashland has an exciting opportunity for an Warehouse supervisor to join our Ambernath plant Mumbai team. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company, the position will report to the Plant manager.

This is a Onsite full time position .

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Supervise receipt, storage, issuance, and dispatch of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
- Ensure proper segregation, identification, and storage of materials as per GMP requirements.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities with transporters and vendors.
- Monitor loading and unloading activities to ensure safe material handling.
- Maintain FIFO/FEFO inventory management practices.
- Ensure timely availability of materials to production as per production plans.
- Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, Procurement, and Planning teams for smooth operations.

- Perform and monitor SAP transactions related to:

- Goods Receipt (GRN)
- Goods Issue (GI)
- Transfer Posting
- Stock Transfer
- Inventory Reconciliation
- Batch Management
- Dispatch Documentation

- Ensure real-time and accurate inventory transactions in SAP.
- Generate inventory, stock movement, and logistics reports from SAP.
- Support inventory audits and cycle count activities.

- Ensure warehouse and logistics activities comply with GMP, GDP, and company quality requirements.
- Maintain documentation as per GMP requirements.
- Ensure proper status labeling of materials (Approved, Quarantine, Rejected).
- Participate in GMP training programs and ensure team compliance.
- Support audits conducted by customers, regulatory agencies, and internal auditors.
- Assist in investigation and closure of deviations, CAPA, and change controls related to warehouse operations.

- Monitor stock levels and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Conduct periodic cycle counts and annual physical inventory verification.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Minimize inventory losses, damages, and obsolescence.

- Ensure compliance with EHS policies and safe warehouse practices.
- Monitor safe operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts, stackers, and pallet trucks.
- Conduct safety inspections and promote a strong safety culture.
- Report and address unsafe conditions and near-miss incidents.

- Supervise warehouse operators and logistics staff.
- Allocate daily work and monitor performance.
- Provide training on GMP, SAP, safety, and warehouse procedures.
- Promote teamwork, discipline, and continuous improvement initiatives.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

- 3-5 years of experience in warehouse and logistics operations in pharmaceutical, excipient, chemical, food, or regulated manufacturing industries.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience in SAP ERP systems.

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

- Graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Science, or related discipline.

- Diploma or certification in Supply Chain/Logistics Management preferred.
