Position: Logistics Operator

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for an Logistics Operator to join our Ambernath India Plant Mumbai team. The position will report to the logistics supervisor.

This is a Onsite full-time position.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Receive raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and finished goods as per approved procedures.
- Verify quantities, labels, batch details, and material condition during receipt.
- Ensure proper storage and segregation of materials as per GMP requirements.
- Maintain material identification and status labels (Quarantine, Approved, Rejected).

- Perform material issuance and transfer activities to support production requirements.
- Handle material movements using pallet trucks, stackers, and forklifts (where authorized).
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices are followed during material issuance.
- Assist in material dispensing and reconciliation activities.

- Generate and update stock reports as required.

- Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory verification.
- Support reconciliation of inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and timely reporting of stock shortages or variances.
- Assist in monitoring stock levels and stock aging.

- Prepare materials and finished goods for dispatch.
- Coordinate loading and unloading activities.
- Verify dispatch documentation and transportation details.

- Follow GMP, GDP, and Data Integrity requirements.
- Maintain warehouse documentation as per SOP requirements.
- Ensure proper handling of approved, quarantined, rejected, and returned materials.

- Follow all site safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and 5S standards.
- Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses.
- Ensure safe handling and storage of materials.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

- 2-5 years of experience in Warehouse, Stores, or Logistics operations.
- Experience in Pharmaceutical, Excipient, Chemical, Food, or FMCG manufacturing preferred.

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

- 10th /HSC/ITI or Bachelor in any field.
