We are seeking a highly experienced Software Development Engineer III (SDE III) to design, build, and operate scalable, cloud-native distributed systems. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Java/Spring Boot, microservices, event-driven architectures, API design, cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code, observability, and modern platform engineering practices. The role requires strong technical leadership, architecture and design experience, work breakdown and initiative sequencing capabilities, cross-team collaboration, mentoring, and hands-on software development.

### You will be responsible for
Core Skills & Experience • Expert in Java/J2EE/Spring Boot or equivalent enterprise technology stack. • Strong experience designing and building scalable microservices and distributed systems. • Expertise in event-driven architecture using Kafka or similar messaging platforms. • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP). • Strong Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform or equivalent tools. • Experience with API design, API gateways, service mesh technologies, rate limiting, resiliency, and traffic management patterns. • Deep understanding of observability, monitoring, logging, tracing, performance tuning, and operational excellence. • Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases. • Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, security scanning, and deployment automation. • Hands-on expertise with TDD, BDD, multithreading, concurrency, and performance engineering. • Experience integrating LLMs into enterprise applications, implementing guardrails, and building agentic workflows/skills. • Strong architecture, solution design, work breakdown, estimation, dependency management, and delivery planning skills. • Proven ability to mentor engineers, perform high-quality code reviews, and drive engineering best practices. • Experience with Couchbase or other NoSQL databases. • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, service platforms, and platform engineering.

Key Responsibilities • Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient software solutions. • Lead technical design discussions and drive architecture decisions across teams. • Translate business requirements into technical solutions, APIs, services, and event contracts. • Break down large initiatives into deliverable workstreams and define implementation sequencing. • Collaborate with product, architecture, platform, and partner teams to align on delivery and technical strategy. • Write high-quality, maintainable, and testable code while promoting engineering excellence. • Review code, mentor engineers, and provide technical guidance to the wider team. • Build and operate cloud-native applications with strong observability and operational ownership. • Drive automation across build, deployment, testing, security, and infrastructure provisioning. • Support production systems and lead troubleshooting of complex technical issues. Good to Have • Experience with Event Sourcing and Domain-Driven Design. • Knowledge of security engineering, threat modeling, and security certifications. • Experience with OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic, Datadog, Splunk, or equivalent observability tools. • Built autonomous agents or multi-agent AI systems in production environments. • Experience with MCP server integrations and AI platform security. • Experience leading large-scale modernization or cloud transformation programs.
