Job Purpose:

To provide clinical anesthesia services in operation theatre both routine and emergency.

Job Responsibilities:

- GENERAL

- To be willing to acquire knowledge, updating skills and technology for professional competency.

- To be willing to travel for training assignments/postings as and when needed.

- To interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.

- To comply with hospital policies such as Leave policy, Grooming standards, etc.

- To abide to all standards related to quality control as per NABH guidelines.

- To actively promote practices that save company resources and minimize wastage.

- To comply with waste disposal and sterile practices of the organization.

- To place high priority on achieving patient satisfaction.

- To adhere to patient confidentiality, medical records management.

- To adhere to proper immunization, vaccination and maintain hand hygiene.

- CLINICAL

Cognitive Clinical Management

Clinical Non-invasive Management

Clinical Invasive Management

- Perform and document pre-anaesthetic check-up.

- Formulate anaesthetic plan of care*

- Obtain and document informed consent.

- Order appropriate investigations*.

- Interpret hemodynamic parameters in critically ill patients*

- Interpret laboratory & radiology results.

- Orders transfusions of blood and blood products*

- Order appropriate medication and other orders *

- Maintenance of anaesthesia record

- Adherence to protocols & checklists

- Perform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation.

- Performs arterial puncture*.

- Inserts central venous catheter *.

- Performs oral endotracheal intubation.

- Performs nasogastric intubation.

- Inserts urethral catheter

- Administer regional anaesthesia *.

- Administer general anaesthesia *.

*Procedure always requires discussion or presence of Consultant and above
