About this role
Position Summary:
- The L1 IT Infrastructure Engineer will provide onsite technical support for the new Prodapt Japan office, initially supporting approximately 50 end users with a planned scale-up to 200 employees. The role focuses on day-to-day end-user computing support, asset management, and preparation of laptops and related IT equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 1 onsite support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other end-user devices.
- Perform laptop preparation, including OS installation/configuration, software deployment, and user profile setup as per Prodapt standards.
- Handle end-user support requests, troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues, and coordinate resolution within defined SLAs.
- Manage IT assets, including issuance, tracking, updating inventory records, and coordinating with procurement/logistics where required.
- Assist in onboarding and offboarding of employees from an IT perspective (account setup, access provisioning, device handover/return).
- Escalate incidents and service requests to higher-level support or global IT teams when required and follow up to closure.
- Maintain documentation related to IT assets, configurations, procedures, and FAQs for end users.
- Collaborate with local office administration and global IT teams to support smooth operations of the Japan office.
- Ensure adherence to Prodapt’s IT policies, security guidelines, and compliance requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in IT infrastructure/end-user support (L1 desktop support or similar role).
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office suite, basic networking (LAN/Wi-Fi), and common desktop applications.
- Experience in handling desktops, laptops, printers, and scanners in a corporate environment.
- Basic understanding of IT asset management processes and tools.
Language Requirements:
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
- Japanese language skills will be an added advantage. Non-Japanese-speaking candidates will be considered, provided they are willing to learn Japanese over time.

Work Schedule and Conditions:
