ABOUT THE SEGMENT

The Accounts & Finance function at Xapads operates as an integrated team managing accounting, taxation, financial reporting, payroll, and financial controls across domestic and international operations. The Financial Reporting segment is responsible for turning accurate financial records into structured financial statements, period-end closures, management analysis, and statutory compliance documentation to ensure financial integrity, control, and visibility.

THE ROLE

The Executive - Financial Reporting will assist in the preparation of period-end and year-end financial statements, supporting schedules, and account reconciliations. This role ensures timely books closure, accurate financial disclosures, and reliable data analysis for management reporting and statutory audit support.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

- Preparation and accuracy of year-end financial statements, financial schedules, reconciliations, and supporting working papers.
- Execution of tasks supporting month-end and year-end books closure and the finalization of accounts.
- Maintenance and updating of financial dashboards, analysis reports, and management documentation.
- Statutory and external audit support through complete, accurate audit schedules and financial documentation.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Assist in preparing period-end and year-end financial statements along with related supporting schedules and reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end books closure and the finalization of accounts.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variance drivers, discrepancies, and unusual account movements.
- Maintain and regularly update financial dashboards, management reporting schedules, and financial analysis files.
- Apply fundamental accounting principles and IFRS guidelines to financial reporting activities and working papers.
- Assist statutory auditors and external consultants by providing financial statements, schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities within financial reporting processes to enhance reporting accuracy and controls.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B. Com), Master’s degree (M. Com), MBA in Finance, or CA Inter / CA IPCC qualification.
- Experience: 3 – 4 years of hands-on experience in financial reporting and accounting.
- Core Skills: Experience in month-end and year-end books closure and financial statement compilation.
- Reconciliation & Analysis: Strong analytical capability with a track record of owning financial reconciliations and balance sheet schedules.
- Tools & Software: Working knowledge of MS Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, Pivot Tables, and financial data analysis.
- Domain Knowledge: Proficiency in understanding of core financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and accounting principles.
- Execution & Accuracy: Good attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to meet strict period-end reporting deadlines.
- Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills to coordinate effectively with internal finance teams and external auditors.

GOOD TO HAVE

- Basic understanding or working knowledge of IFRS.
- Direct experience interacting with statutory auditors, consultants, or external accounting advisors.
- Hands-on experience developing or maintaining financial dashboards and MIS reports.
- Prior experience with international financial reporting will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of statutory filings in the US, UK, Dubai or Singapore will be viewed favourably.

- Seamless coordination with statutory auditors resulting in smooth audit cycles with complete documentation.
- Consistent delivery of reliable financial analysis and updated management dashboards to support finance leadership.
