Job Description

#

The Team Lead – GRE Operations manages analysts supporting Strategic Analytics, Real Estate Research, Data Analytics, Forecasting, Marketing Presentations and Compliance. The role ensures timely, accurate, and compliant delivery; leads day-to-day operations and escalations; develops team capability; and drives improvement through automation, AI, and strong stakeholder partnership.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & People Management

- Lead, coach, and develop analysts while promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Set expectations and monitor delivery against SLAs, KPIs, and quality standards.
- Manage performance, staffing, capacity, succession planning, recruitment, and onboarding.

Strategic Analytics & Research Leadership

- Oversee market research, economic analysis, real estate forecasts, and strategic insights.
- Ensure high-quality research supports investment, transaction, fund, and asset management teams.
- Develop forecasting models and translate business needs into actionable analysis.

Data Analytics, Modelling & Forecasting

- Lead analytical projects using statistical modelling, forecasting, econometrics, and machine learning.
- Improve data pipelines, analytical frameworks, automation, and AI-enabled solutions.
- Review outputs for accuracy, sound methodology, and business relevance.

Data Management & Technology Enablement

- Strengthen data quality, governance, reporting consistency, and management of large datasets.
- Promote effective use of Python, SQL, Power BI, Excel, GIS, R, and related tools.
- Partner with technology teams to improve platforms, automation, coding, and reporting practices.

GIS & Spatial Analytics Leadership

- Guide GIS and spatial analysis for market mapping, site assessment, asset evaluation, and investment decisions.
- Promote innovative use of location intelligence across investment and asset management.

Marketing Presentations, Compliance & Client Reporting

- Oversee investor presentations, marketing materials, thought-leadership reports, and client reporting.
- Ensure deliverables meet branding, regulatory, disclosure, accuracy, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate marketing compliance reviews, approvals, recordkeeping, and timely resolution of compliance comments.
- Work with Compliance, Research, Portfolio Management, and Business Development teams to create clear, data-backed content.

Stakeholder Management

- Act as the main contact for operational matters and escalations.
- Build trusted relationships across Research, Investments, Fund Management, Asset Management, Capital Markets, and Business Development.
- Communicate risks, delays, resource needs, project status, and expectations clearly.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

- Drive process simplification, standardization, automation, and measurable efficiency improvements.
- Maintain controls, procedures, documentation, governance, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Support business continuity through cross-training and knowledge management.

Risk & Escalation Management

- Manage delivery-related escalations and identify risks early.
- Implement mitigation plans and resolve recurring issues through root-cause analysis.
- Promote a proactive, risk-aware culture.

Required Qualifications

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in relevant quantitative, business, finance, real estate, technology, or analytics discipline.
- Master’s degree, MBA, or equivalent advanced qualification preferred.

Experience

- 8–12 years of experience in analytics, real estate research, data science, business intelligence, or a related field.
- At least three years of people-leadership experience in an analytical or research environment.
- Proven experience managing global stakeholders, projects, automation initiatives, and cross-functional delivery.

Technical Skills

- Power BI, Python, SQL, advanced Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Skills

- GIS, Tableau, R, machine learning, Alteryx, Power Query, Pandas, APIs, and ETL or data engineering concepts.
