We are looking for a dedicated Risk Operations Support to join our team in Bucharest, Romania!

About the job:

We're looking for an enthusiastic English speaker to join our AML, Fraud & Risk Operations team!

What You'll get to do:

- Monitor transactional activities to identify and detect potential fraudulent patterns.
- Investigate, report, and take appropriate remedial action on suspicious account transactions to protect the business from financial losses.
- Use fraud prevention and monitoring systems to optimize deposit conversion rates while maintaining chargeback rates within acceptable thresholds.
- Analyze customer account activity to identify unusual transactional patterns or behaviors.
- Review and process withdrawal requests in accordance with internal procedures and applicable requirements.
- Contribute to the achievement of the Fraud Team's KPIs and ensure compliance with established performance targets.
- Handle and resolve customer inquiries in accordance with established SLA requirements.
- Escalate identified threats and risks to the COO and/or Compliance Officer for root cause analysis and appropriate mitigation.
- Liaise with the MLRO to ensure that suspicious payment activity is identified, escalated, and investigated accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with customers, service providers, and other key business stakeholders.
- Create, maintain, and update files and documentation as required.
- Use the software applications and systems provided by the company in accordance with internal procedures.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of data handled during daily activities.
- Ensure that work equipment is properly used and maintained in good working conditions.
- Continuously develop and improve professional knowledge, skills, and expertise relevant to the role.
- Maintain the confidentiality of company-related information and documentation.
- Comply with all applicable legal requirements, as well as the company's internal Occupational Health and Safety and Emergency Procedures, in accordance with the risk assessment applicable to the position.
- Configure and update rules within the relevant systems based on received business requirements and requests.
- Implement requested system and rule changes within the established SLA.
- Ensure that newly created or modified rules are compatible with existing rules and configurations.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the direct manager that are relevant to the position and consistent with the employee's professional qualifications.
- Comply with the provisions of the company's Internal Regulations and meet the performance standards and criteria established by the employer.

- Experience in fraud prevention, detection and investigation techniques;
- Understand international online payment methods and their associated risks;
- Logical approach, high attention to details, accurate and able to multi-task;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Team oriented and yet able to work independently;
- A flexible approach and professional attitude;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Minimum of two years’ experience ideally within a payments or security role.Customer Centric;
