We are looking for Commercial Business Analyst to join our team in Bucharest!

About the job:
We are looking for a highly analytical and commercially minded Commercial Business Analyst to own the planning, forecasting, quota setting, and performance measurement processes across the commercial organization. This role sits at the center of commercial decision-making, translating business strategy into measurable targets, accurate forecasts, effective territory structures, and performance-based incentive plans. The successful candidate will partner closely with Sales, Account Management, Leadership, Finance, and Strategy teams to ensure the commercial organization is aligned around clear goals, transparent performance metrics, and sustainable growth. This person owns the numbers: forecasting, targets, quotas, and the mechanisms that drive commercial performance.

Responsibilities:

- Own the end-to-end commercial forecasting process across product lines, customer segments, and regions.
- Develop and maintain forecasting models that provide visibility into revenue attainment, pipeline performance, and growth opportunities.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting cycles.
- Manage reforecasting activities and provide recommendations based on business performance and market developments.
- Deliver insights and scenario modeling to support executive decision-making.
- Design and manage the annual quota-setting process for Sales and Account Management teams.
- Establish targets that are aligned with business objectives, market potential, and growth expectations.
- Develop data-driven quota methodologies using historical performance, market sizing, and territory potential.
- Track quota attainment and identify risks and opportunities throughout the fiscal year.
- Ensure fair and balanced quota distribution across teams and regions.
- Design, maintain, and optimize commercial compensation and incentive programs.
- Partner with leadership, HR and Finance to ensure compensation plans drive desired business outcomes.
- Perform compensation modeling and impact analysis.
- Monitor incentive plan effectiveness and recommend adjustments to improve performance and alignment.
- Ensure governance, transparency, and accuracy in compensation calculations and reporting.
- Own territory planning and account segmentation frameworks.
- Define and maintain account allocation strategies aligned with commercial goals.
- Analyze market opportunity and account potential to optimize territory coverage.
- Ensure territories and account assignments remain scalable and balanced as the business grows.
- Define and maintain commercial KPIs and success metrics related to the forecast and targets.
- Build dashboards, reports, and performance reviews that provide visibility into commercial performance.
- Deliver regular business reviews highlighting forecast accuracy, quota attainment, revenue performance, and commercial productivity.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis and actionable insights.
- Partner closely with Finance on revenue planning, forecasting, and governance processes.
- Collaborate with Commercial Leadership and CEO office to align targets with strategic priorities.
- Support annual planning exercises and long-term growth planning initiatives.
- Drive consistency, governance, and data quality across commercial performance management processes.

Requirements:

- 3-5 years of experience in Commercial Operations, Revenue Operations, Business Analytics, Sales Operations, Financial Planning & Analysis, or a similar analytical role.
- Strong experience with forecasting, quota setting, compensation planning, or commercial planning.
- Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar).
- Experience working with CRM platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to synthesize complex data into clear recommendations for leadership.
- Project Management and Management of Change skills as a plus Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a B2B SaaS, technology, software, or high-growth commercial environment.
- Experience with territory planning and market sizing methodologies.
- Familiarity with revenue operations and commercial performance frameworks.
- Experience supporting global or multi-regional commercial organizations.
- What You'll Be Known For Owning the commercial operating model. You will be the trusted source for forecasts, targets, quotas, incentives, and performance reporting, ensuring the commercial organization has the data, structure, and insights required to achieve its growth ambitions. You own the numbers.
