What we are looking for:
The Financing and Treasury Analyst supports the organization’s treasury, liquidity, funding, compliance, and capital markets activities. This role is responsible for financing support, debt and banking administration, market impact reporting, and transactional support with lenders and brokers. The successful candidate will work closely with internal finance teams, banking partners, law firms, brokers and business stakeholders to help ensure all elements of compliance, debt transactions, due diligence, underwriting and reporting are completed in a manner that fulfills the organization’s long-term leverage strategies.
Your responsibilities:
- Support key aspects of financing transactions, debt administration, covenant tracking, interest calculations, and lender reporting requirements.
- Conduct financial analysis to support capital structure decisions, refinancing opportunities, and investment of surplus cash.
- Prepare any necessary reports, dashboards, variance analysis, and presentations for management and other stakeholders.
- Interest rate, credit, and liquidity risk monitoring, including analysis of market trends and exposures as well as maintaining a current knowledge of bond and mortgage markets
- Support banking relationship management, including account administration, documentation, fees, and service inquiries as well as mortgage compliance reporting and supporting requests from third parties
- Monitor daily cash positions, bank balances, transfers, and funding activity to support operational liquidity as necessary.
- Maintain treasury records, controls, approvals, and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with accounting, tax, legal, financial planning and analysis, and operating teams on treasury-related matters.
- Support process improvement, automation, and system enhancement initiatives within Financing and Treasury operations.
Must have requirements to be successful in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, commerce, business administration, or related discipline.
- One to three years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, banking, cash management, financial analysis, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with attention to accuracy and detail.
- Experience working with the investment banking, lending, legal and brokerage community is preferred
- Knowledge of CMHC-insured financing, including loan applications, underwriting, funding, covenant compliance, and ongoing reporting requirements, is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial modelling; experience with treasury management systems, ERP systems, or banking platforms is an asset.
- Understanding of cash management, debt instruments, banking products, capital markets, and financial risk concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly.
- Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize competing tasks, and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Professional designation or progress toward CPA, CFA, CTP, or a related credential is considered an asset.

Additional Information:
- Fiera Capital adheres to a hybrid working environment with 4 days in-office per week.
- The salary range for this position is 85,000-95,000. This role is also be eligible for additional compensation, including an end of contract bonus and employee benefits. This salary range is for Ontario.

For roles based in Quebec (Montreal and Laval), proficiency in spoken and written French is required. A working knowledge of English is also necessary to collaborate with our global teams and clients.
