Position Overview

The Hopsice Area Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing the operations of multiple Aveanna locations. Manage assigned locations day-to-day operating activities to include driving the growth of the business, support staff and clinician recruiting and retention, clinical and regulatory oversight, and delivery of care and customer satisfaction. This position is responsible for oversight of the aligned area budget to deliver appropriate financial results. Assists the Area Vice President of Operations in carrying out Aveanna’s Mission and Five C’s Business Plan within the established Area of responsibility.

Territory: Northern AL and TN Hospice Branches

Essential Job Functions

- Collaborates with the Operations leadership to manage branch operations in alignment with the Company’s business objectives and ensure all clinical, financial, growth, risk & compliance initiatives remain focused on quality care and continuous improvement.

- Provides leadership, direction and constructive feedback to the Executive Director and location teams promoting teamwork and ensuring objectives are accomplished with measurable results.

- Assists with development and execution of location budget and annual business plan.

- Performs ongoing assessments of market trends and competitive landscape in support of the business growth strategy and provides oversight of service delivery execution.

- Assists with developing, attracting, and retaining a high-performing engaged workforce.

- Identifies process improvement opportunities.

- Ensures that all programs, policies, procedures, and practices are in alignment with all local, state, and federal guidelines.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of supervisory or administrative experience in hospice health care or a related health care program

- Experience in home health or hospice services or similar multi-site healthcare services business

- Professional health related credential or license preferred

- Three to Five years of experience in proven leadership role, related health care management, or home care management experience

- Ability to travel frequently between assigned locations
