About this role
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on a large-scale, complex software transformation programme. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering UAT across multiple teams, systems and regions, making sure solutions meet business needs before go-live.
The programme involves many interdependencies, and priorities can shift as it progresses, so flexibility and comfort with competing demands are essential.
**Contract:** 6 months, with extension available
**Location**: Bucharest, 2 days/week in the office
**Salary: 11.400 RON NET**
Tasks
* Own the end-to-end UAT process: planning, preparation, execution and sign-off
* Define the UAT strategy, scope, schedule and entry/exit criteria
* Coordinate business users, testers, IT and delivery teams to ensure test scenarios are executed effectively
* Oversee test case design and review, and make sure they reflect real business processes
* Track, prioritise and manage defects through to resolution, working closely with technical teams
* Monitor UAT progress and risks, and escalate issues when needed
* Deliver regular status and project health updates to senior stakeholders and executives
* Manage dependencies and competing priorities across workstreams
* Support the transition to go-live, including readiness assessments and post go-live support
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Project Manager or Test Manager on large, complex IT transformation programmes
* Strong hands-on experience leading UAT in global or multi-team environments
* Solid understanding of the software testing lifecycle and defect management
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, including communication with senior leadership
* Ability to coordinate effectively between business and technical teams
* Comfort working in a fast-changing environment with competing priorities
* Strong communication and reporting skills in English
**Nice to Have**
* Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, HP ALM)
* Experience with post go-live or hypercare support
* Project management or testing certification (PMP, PRINCE2, ISTQB, or similar)
* Experience working with distributed teams across multiple time zones
