Job Description
INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW
We're looking for a summer intern to join our Logistics team and gain hands-on exposure to the day-to-day operations that keep our supply chain running smoothly. This internship offers direct shadowing experience with logistics coordinators and operations and supply chain data analysts, providing a front-row view of how orders, shipments, and data come together to solve problems and enhance the customer experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Shadow logistics coordinators to learn how shipments are planned, tracked, and resolved when issues arise.
- Work alongside operations and supply chain data analysts to understand how logistics data is collected, organized, and used to support decisions.
- Assist with day-to-day activities such as securing truckloads and reviewing delivery and transportation cost trends.
- Help document and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for internal and external teams.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency and process improvement based on data, observations, and team feedback.
- Participate in team meetings, contribute ideas, and complete a small project or presentation by the end of the internship to showcase what you learned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently a junior or senior pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Operations, or a related field.
- Genuinely curious about how things work and interested in understanding the why behind a process, not just the steps.
- Detail-oriented and able to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative team player who communicates well, asks thoughtful questions, and is eager to learn.
- Comfortable with, or eager to learn, Excel and spreadsheet tools; exposure to data analysis or AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot is a plus.
