Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a Cost Estimator/Analyst (4100) in Idaho Falls, ID.

Position Summary
This staffing support position will provide cost estimating and analytical support for a nuclear project in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The Cost Estimator/Analyst will develop, evaluate, and maintain cost information used to support planning, budgeting, forecasting, and informed business and project decisions.
The position requires disciplined analysis, clear documentation of estimating assumptions, and effective coordination with technical, project, and business stakeholders. The successful candidate will help ensure estimates and related cost analyses are complete, traceable, consistent, and aligned with the applicable scope of work.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cost estimates and support analyses for assigned projects, activities, or work scopes.
- Review scope, schedule, labor, material, subcontract, equipment, and other cost inputs for completeness and consistency.
- Document estimate methodologies, assumptions, exclusions, risks, uncertainties, and the basis of estimate.
- Analyze cost data, trends, variances, and forecasts and communicate findings to project and business stakeholders.
- Coordinate with technical, project, procurement, finance, and other functional personnel to obtain and validate estimating inputs.
- Prepare clear cost reports, summaries, presentations, and other supporting documentation for internal and client review.
- Support budgeting, planning, change evaluation, and decision-making activities with timely and defensible cost information.
- Maintain organized estimating records and ensure work products comply with applicable quality, confidentiality, and document-control expectations.

Requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of cost estimating, cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, or related project cost functions.
- Ability to interpret technical scopes, schedules, and support project information and translate them into structured cost estimates.
- Ability to analyze quantitative information, identify inconsistencies, and clearly explain assumptions and conclusions.
- Proficiency with spreadsheet-based analysis and the preparation of professional reports and presentations.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organization, attention to detail, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and produce accurate, well-documented work products.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting cost estimating or cost analysis in the nuclear, energy, engineering, construction, manufacturing, or other highly regulated technical environment.
- Experience developing bases of estimate, evaluating cost risks and uncertainties, and supporting project planning or controls activities.
- Familiarity with cost-estimating tools, enterprise systems, scheduling information, and structured estimating practices.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary technical and business teams.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, engineering, construction management, project management, or a related discipline is beneficial. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
