1st shift: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday

Full-Time Summer 2027 Internship

S&C’s Human Resources organization provides internal customers with a wide range of services as we strive to attract, develop and retain the best employee team in the industry. The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) Intern will support the HRBP team in delivering HR programs and services that align with business objectives and enhance the employee experience. This internship provides hands-on exposure to employee relations, talent management, workforce analytics, organizational development, performance management, and HR operations within a manufacturing and corporate environment.

The intern will partner with HR Business Partners and cross-functional stakeholders to assist with key initiatives while developing a foundational understanding of strategic human resources practices.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Assist HRBPs in supporting leaders and employees.
- Support workforce analytics, reporting and presentations.
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence and maintain confidentiality.
- Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules
- Assist with performance management processes and documentation.
- Support talent review and succession planning activities.
- Assist in the development of employment-related policies and practices
- Compile and analyze HR metrics (Headcount, Turnover, Attrition, Workforce Planning, Team Member Engagement)
- Assist team members with questions or concerns around career development, policies or leadership, or issues with fellow team members
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs.
- Support investigations by maintaining documentation and tracking action items.
- Help coordinate employee communication efforts.
- Participate in onboarding and orientation activities.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to support hiring activities.
- Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and improve efficiency.
- Assist with documentation of HR procedures and best practices.
- Participate in cross-functional HR projects and continuous improvement efforts.
- Participate in HR projects as requested
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Attend in-person or virtual meetings as requested or required
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with others
- Other responsibilities as assigned

To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:

Required

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Development, Industrial Relations or related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer service approach
- Aptitude in problem-solving
- Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

- Previous internship, leadership, campus organization, or work experience
- Experience working with data and reporting tools
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI or HR Systems

MAJOR PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- Frequently required to remain in a stationary position and perform desk-based tasks
- Occasionally required to walk moderate distances
- Frequently required to observe details at close range including depth perception, peripheral vision, and the ability to differentiate between colors
- Continuously required to talk and hear, in person and by phone/conference calls
- Occasionally required to travel and work extended hours when necessary
- Occasionally required to stand and perform tasks
