Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 3 years of experience with software development in training, developing or applying machine learning models.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
- Experience with building Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) or Enterprise Software.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain the features and components for GenAI-powered developer tools, focusing on server-side code and middleware systems that interact with Google's latest LLMs.
- Take end-to-end ownership of moderately complex projects or major features, from technical design and scoping through implementation, launch, and production support.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, researchers, SREs, and other engineers to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver robust and scalable solutions.
- Author and present detailed design documents for features and system improvements. Actively participate in and contribute to design and code reviews, ensuring high standards of quality and engineering excellence.
- Uphold and advocate for software engineering best practices within the team, with a focus on code quality, test coverage, system reliability, performance optimization, and maintainability.
