The Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School, a pluralistic community Jewish day school, seeks qualified candidates to fill potential openings for the position of Kindergarten Hebrew and Judaic Studies Teacher for the 2026-202 7 academic year.
This position will require instruction in Judaic language arts and various other disciplines of Jewish learning and teaching and will require an individual who demonstrates a passion for education and a palpable love for and warmth with children while instructing students in the Judaic Studies curricular areas of Hebrew language, Torah, H agim/Jewish Festivals, and Tfilah/Prayer.
Salary: $54,000-$104,331, based on academic degrees and years of full-time work experience in education

- Experience with teaching through digital platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, Schoology, SeeSaw, etc.) and integrating technology into typical classroom teaching practice.
- Interest in partnering with colleagues within and across subject disciplines to plan and develop curriculum.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and communal learning environment.
- Openness to professional reflection and feedback.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education (or 90-hour MSDE course for Kindergarten candidates) or a related field required with a Masters degree preferred and a minimum of 1-3 years of successful, formal lead-teaching experience in a public or independent school. Candidates need to be Hebrew native speakers or have command of the Hebrew language at a native speaker level.
