The Position
For our Structural Heart division, we are seeking a Territory Manager – LAAO for the Romandy region of Switzerland. In this role, you will be responsible for the commercial management and development of all assigned accounts. You will drive the adoption of left atrial appendage closure therapies and intracardiac echocardiography (ICE), support clinical procedures, and work closely with Interventional Cardiologists, Electrophysiologists, Imaging Specialists, and hospital stakeholders to grow business opportunities and optimize customer outcomes.
Your Responsibilities:
- Independently manage all assigned accounts and achieve sales objectives.
- Develop and execute account plans to increase procedural volumes and market share.
- Lead commercial discussions, tender processes, and purchasing negotiations.
- Promote and defend Abbott’s value proposition and pricing strategy.
- Monitor competitive activities and identify new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, hospital stakeholders, and key decision makers.
- Coordinate local key opinion leader (KOL) engagement activities.
- Drive adoption and business development of intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) and imaging-guided procedural workflows.
- Provide technical and clinical support during left atrial appendage closure procedures.
- Support case planning, case reviews, and clinical discussions.
- Deliver product, therapy, and imaging-related education to physicians and cath lab teams.
- Serve as a clinical and technical resource for imaging applications with a focus on ICE.
- Support pre-procedural planning and intra-procedural imaging guidance.
- Collaborate closely with Interventional Cardiologists, Electrophysiologists, and Imaging Specialists to optimize procedural workflows.
- Act as a liaison between customers and cross-functional departments including Clinical, Customer Service, Tender Management, and Sales.
- Maintain CRM/SFDC data, sales forecasts, and account information.
- Manage consignment inventory and ensure product availability.
- Report Product Event Reports in accordance with company policy.
- Ensure compliance with Abbott quality, legal, and ethical standards.
Your Qualifications:
- University degree in a scientific, biomedical, healthcare, engineering, or technical discipline.
- Significant experience within the medical device industry.
- Proven experience supporting Interventional Cardiology procedures and collaborating with Interventional Cardiologists.
- Proven experience with left atrial appendage closure procedures, including both commercial and clinical/technical support.
- Experience working with Electrophysiologists and electrophysiology programs is considered an advantage.
- Experience supporting Cath Lab and/or Hybrid Operating Room procedures.
- Experience with cardiac imaging workflows, including pre-procedural planning and intra-procedural imaging.
- Experience with intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) is considered an advantage.
- Strong commercial, negotiation, presentation, and account management skills.
- Professional proficiency in English and French.
- German language skills are considered a plus.
