## The Opportunity
- The Sr Director, Global Data Management is responsible for leading global clinical data management activities while owning the strategy, governance, and continuous improvement of end-to-end data processes.
- This role oversees a global organization delivering data processing and cleaning, medical coding, project oversight, and centralized monitoring, ensuring the timely, high-quality delivery of clinical data and submission-ready deliverables.
- The position combines global operational leadership, process ownership, and strategic planning, driving innovation, standardization, and optimization across processes, systems, and operating models, and serving as a key stakeholder in enterprise initiatives, audits/inspections, and functional transformation.
## How You’ll Spend Your Day
- Accountable for the timely, high-quality delivery of clinical data management deliverables globally, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, SOPs, and data integrity standards.
- Lead end-to-end data management process strategy, governance, and continuous improvement, driving standardization, efficiency, and inspection readiness.
- Develop and implement global strategies for data management operations, including resourcing, outsourcing, risk management, and technology adoption.
- Lead and develop global, cross-functional teams; oversee performance, resource allocation, and budget management to achieve business objectives.
- Drive evaluation and implementation of innovative tools, systems, and methodologies to enhance scalability, efficiency, and data quality.
- Establish and manage strategic partnerships with external vendors and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure aligned and effective delivery.
- Oversee SOPs, policies, and regulatory compliance; represent Data Management in audits, inspections, and enterprise initiatives.
- Contribute to departmental and organizational strategy, addressing complex challenges and supporting transformation initiatives, integrations, and business priorities.
## Your Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 15+ years of experience in clinical data management or related discipline.
- Extensive experience in global data management operations, systems, and outsourcing.
- Proven leadership of large, global, multi-functional teams.
- Demonstrated experience in process ownership and continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong experience working in virtual, global, and multicultural environments.
- Experience leading transformation or digital initiatives in data management..
- Experience supporting regulatory inspections and submissions.
- Strong knowledge of clinical data management systems and technologies
- Understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., GCP, FDA, EMA).
- Strong leadership and ability to motivate and manage global teams.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinking with strong execution capability.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
