Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 3+ years of industrial maintenance, equipment repair, or manufacturing equipment experience.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems and electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience troubleshooting pneumatic and electromechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, pneumatic diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
- Experience using electrical and mechanical diagnostic tools, including digital multimeters and common precision measuring equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot motors, pumps, valves, sensors, switches, heaters, relays, contactors, power supplies, and similar industrial components.
- Ability to perform systematic troubleshooting and determine root causes of equipment failures.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, and comfort recording work in a manufacturing execution system. Xcimer runs Boltline; training will be provided.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technicians, engineers, supervisors, equipment suppliers, and other personnel.
- Ability to work independently while recognizing when engineering or specialized technical support is required.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and equipment reliability.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
- Must be able to satisfy Xcimer's pre-employment background check.
Desired
Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:
- Associate degree, technical certification, or trade-school training in industrial maintenance or a related field
- Advanced manufacturing or R&D production environments
- Capacitor or electrical-component manufacturing equipment
- Precision winding equipment
- Vacuum pumps and vacuum systems
- Oil or fluid processing and impregnation systems
- Industrial ovens and temperature-control systems
- Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Pumps, motors, gearboxes, and mechanical drive systems
- PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment
- Sensors and industrial instrumentation
- Electrical control panels
- Variable-frequency drives (VFDs)
- Machine alignment and precision mechanical systems
- Preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Maintenance planning in a CMMS or MES such as Boltline
- Equipment installation and commissioning
- High-voltage equipment, stored-energy hazards, or electrical test stations such as HiPot
- NFPA 70E or equivalent arc-flash and electrical safety training
