Key Responsibilities
Industry Strategy & Point of View
- Define and articulate the industry point-of-view strategy regarding market trends, regulatory shifts, and competitive positioning across the life sciences ecosystem.
- Represent the organization as an external thought leader through webinars, industry conferences, analyst briefings, and customer advisory boards.
Solution Architecture & Accelerator Delivery
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Sales leadership to map customer business journeys against product capabilities.
- Map key user personas (e.g., Medical Science Liaisons, Field Service Representatives) to product features, defining reusable templates and business process frameworks to scale implementations.
- Guide product development teams in building usable, adoptable industry accelerators and delivery artifacts, tracking their adoption across internal and partner-led programs.
- Identify and formally escalate product capability gaps based on real-world customer business requirements.
Customer Advisory & Value Realization
- Serve as a trusted advisor to C-level customer executives, guiding stakeholders toward modern approaches that maximize business value while maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with Business Value Services (value-engineering) to build ROI narratives and post-implementation measurement frameworks to evaluate customer outcomes.
- Utilize post-implementation evaluation metrics to inform and influence the long-term product roadmap.
Ecosystem Enablement & GTM Alignment
- Coach partner consultants and internal services teams on industry best practices and implementation methodologies.
- Partner with Product Marketing to shape industry-specific value propositions, sales enablement assets, and GTM playbooks.
- Own executive reporting on implementation velocity, accelerator adoption, and delivery insights across internal and partner programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Life Sciences, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of domain experience in life sciences or commercial pharma.
- Demonstrated track record of implementing CRM or enterprise software solutions within commercial pharma, or serving as a Product Owner/Key Stakeholder advising IT on enterprise implementations.
- Proven ability to map business processes and ecosystem user personas to technical capabilities and identify functional gaps.
- Deep working knowledge of life sciences regulatory requirements and their impact on software implementation and workflow design.
- Demonstrated experience coaching consultants, sales teams, or enterprise delivery partners.
- Experience partnering with value-engineering or business consulting functions to establish outcome and measurement frameworks.
- Strong executive presence with articulate, persuasive, and collaborative communication skills.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and make sound, data-informed decisions in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in life sciences/commercial pharma (preferred for Senior Director level).
- Prior people management or formal program leadership experience in a consulting, strategy, or product ownership capacity.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce platforms or similar enterprise CRM and forecasting technologies.
- Proven success influencing product roadmaps through customer feedback loops and implementation data.
