The Production Shift Supervisor is responsible for the safe, efficient, and profitable operation of production during assigned shifts. This role provides direct leadership to production employees while ensuring compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, production schedules, inventory controls, and company procedures.
The supervisor is expected to maintain a strong floor presence, develop employees, resolve production issues, drive accountability, and support continuous improvement efforts that improve customer service, operational performance, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and supervise production employees during assigned shifts.
- Ensure a safe work environment and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Execute production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Monitor production performance and address issues impacting safety, quality, productivity, or delivery.
- Coach, train, and develop employees while promoting accountability and teamwork.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, work instructions, and manufacturing processes.
- Support inventory accuracy, material control, and ERP transactions.
- Investigate production, quality, and inventory issues and implement corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, and waste reduction.

Qualifications:

- Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Proficiency with production reporting and computer systems.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and 75 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and perform physical activities such as bending, reaching, and climbing stairs.
