What we want
The Assistant Program Director of Enrollment Management provides operational leadership and oversight for student registration, academic scheduling, records management, graduation audits, and enrollment reporting at the Texas A&M University School of Engineering Medicine (EnMed). Reporting to the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management, this position ensures the integrity, efficiency, and compliance of admissions and enrollment operations that support EnMed’s innovative, integrated curriculum.

Responsibilities:
Registration & Enrollment Operations
- Manage and oversee all student registration processes, including term activation, course enrollment, add/drop activity, registration, and grading compliance.
- Ensure accurate enrollment status reporting in accordance with university, state, and accreditation requirements.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to support consistent, efficient enrollment workflows.
- Serve as a primary operational resource for students and internal stakeholders regarding registration and enrollment reporting policies and processes.
Academic Scheduling
- Coordinate academic scheduling in collaboration with faculty, academic leadership, and partner colleges to support EnMed’s integrated curriculum model.
- Oversee the creation, maintenance, and publication of class schedules, ensuring accuracy, optimal resource utilization, and alignment with instructional priorities.
Records Management
- Provide leadership and oversight for student academic records, ensuring data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with FERPA and institutional policies.
- Manage processes related to student status changes, academic progress updates, degree requirements tracking, and official record maintenance.
- Partner with institutional offices to support transcript production, enrollment verification, and reporting requirements.
Systems, Data & Compliance
- Utilize and support student information systems and enrollment platforms (e.g., Banner, Elantra) to maintain accurate records and reporting.
- Conduct regular audits and data reviews to ensure data integrity across enrollment, registration, and records systems.
- Support accreditation, compliance, and internal reporting efforts by providing timely and accurate enrollment and records data.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Supervise and train support staff involved in registration and records operations, fostering a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous quality improvement.
- Partner with student affairs, academic affairs, admissions, financial aid and central registrar functions to ensure a cohesive student experience from matriculation through graduation.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field.
- 6 years of progressively responsible experience in enrollment management, registrar operations, academic support, finance or business services, or student records administration to include supervision of staff and leading operational process improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting professional, graduate, or health-related academic programs.
- Experience with student enrollment processes and data analysis, including the ability to use student information systems and enrollment data to monitor trends, evaluate outcomes, and inform strategic decisions.
- Ability to lead projects, manage competing priorities, and collaborate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and university partners, with strong written, verbal, organizational, and customer-service skills.
- Ability to manage complex enrollment processes across multiple academic units.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of registration processes, academic scheduling, and records management in a higher education setting.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Knowledge of FERPA and student records compliance standards.
- Familiarity with the Banner student information system.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience supervising staff and leading operational process improvements.
