Job Summary
Sunrise Transportation is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented professional Office Support to assist with daily office operations at our school bus transportation branch. This position supports dispatch, recruiting, onboarding, recordkeeping, and other administrative functions necessary for efficient branch operations.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and maintains a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
Office Administration & Daily Support
- Perform general office duties, including answering phones, responding to emails, assisting visitors, and handling inquiries from employees and applicants.
- Maintain organized records, files, and documentation related to employees, applicants, drivers, monitors, and branch operations.
- Perform data entry, reporting, scanning, filing, copying, and other clerical duties.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee, applicant, student, and company information.
- Provide administrative support to branch leadership and other departments as needed.
Dispatch & Operations Support
- Assist the dispatch team with coordinating bus routes, driver schedules, daily assignments, and coverage needs.
- Communicate professionally with drivers, monitors, school personnel, and other internal and external contacts.
- Assist with operational concerns, route changes, call-offs, and coverage needs in coordination with the dispatch team.
- Maintain accurate documentation and promptly communicate operational issues to appropriate personnel.
Recruiting, Hiring & Onboarding Support
- Schedule and coordinate interviews for driver and monitor candidates.
- Assist with onboarding activities, including required paperwork, background screening processes, drug-screening coordination, and training schedules.
- Maintain applicant tracking and hiring records in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist with hiring events, candidate communication, and recruitment initiatives.
- Follow established company procedures regarding confidential applicant and employee information.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional administrative or business education is preferred.
- Previous administrative, dispatch, recruiting, transportation, or logistics experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional interpersonal and customer-service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and the ability to learn company-specific systems.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential to the position.
Work Schedule & Onsite Requirement
This is an onsite-only position located at the Naperville branch . The position is not eligible for remote or hybrid work. Regular and reliable onsite attendance during the assigned work schedule is an essential function of the position.
The employee must be available to work the schedule established for the contract assignment. Business needs may occasionally require adjustments to scheduled hours.
Physical Requirements

- Ability to remain in a stationary position and work at a computer for extended periods, with reasonable breaks.
- Ability to frequently operate a computer, telephone, copier, scanner, and other standard office equipment.
- Ability to periodically stand and move throughout the office and branch facility.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and retrieve or organize files, supplies, and other office materials as necessary.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through electronic communication.
- Ability to perform repetitive keyboarding and other routine administrative tasks.

- Professional, office-based environment with regular interaction with drivers, monitors, applicants, dispatch personnel, management, and other employees.
- Fast-paced and deadline-driven environment requiring the ability to prioritize and respond to changing operational needs.
- This position may involve access to confidential employee, applicant, student, and company information.
Contract Position
This position is being offered as a contract/temporary assignment . The assignment does not guarantee employment for any specific duration or conversion to a regular position unless otherwise stated in a written agreement.
