## About the role

Work Location         1Powerhouse, PJ (5mins walk from MRT Bandar Utama)
Reporting To            Regulatory Team Lead
Working Hours        12.00pm – 9.00 pm

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage daily regulatory inquiries and information requests from both internal and external stakeholders concerning raw materials used within the European region. This position requires close collaboration with Regulatory Scientific Affairs, Category Technologists, Procurement, Quality, and Account Managers. It plays a crucial role in supporting business growth and providing a competitive advantage by ensuring that customer-facing information is accurate, consistent, and efficient—delivered right the first time. Additionally, the role is key in maintaining the accuracy of data related to the finished products we produce.

## Key responsibilities

- Responsible for supporting the execution of packaging requests in an efficient and timely manner.
- Manage specification approvals for all packaging materials.
- Conduct administrative duties within defined guidelines.
- Ensure that all packaging materials comply with  EU Regulations , with a particular focus on Food Contact materials .
- Challenge suppliers and ensure requests for information and food safety questions are resolved or answered promptly within critical path timescales.
- Check and approve relevant packaging specifications for legality and accuracy, ensuring that correct specifications enter the business and that raw material specifications cover the ever-changing customer and business technical requirements.
- Support site audits to cover the traceability of incoming packaging materials.
- Create and maintain various documentation, such as technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Coordinate and develop effective working relationships with internal stakeholders (RDA, QA, Operations, Procurement & Commercial) and external stakeholders.
- Responsible for managing and meeting individual and overall department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous excellence initiatives.

## Qualifications and skills

- Degree or local equivalent in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in the food packaging industry within Regulatory, Quality Assurance, Production, or R&D, with knowledge of European Packaging Legislation considered a distinct advantage.
- Food industry knowledge, with direct knowledge of European Packaging Legislation considered a distinct advantage.
- Have no issues working European shift hours and be able to provide support during public holidays. Flexibility and reliability are key to providing consistent support across different time zones and during peak periods.
- This is a desk-based role that deals primarily with documentation management and customer relations on virtual platforms. Precision in handling and maintaining documentation is critical to ensure that all regulatory requirements are met and communicated effectively.
