Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Cape Cod (SCC), a 60-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility in Sandwich, Massachusetts, seeks a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Physiatrist to join its inpatient team. Part of Spaulding Rehabilitation and Mass General Brigham, SCC provides interdisciplinary care for patients recovering from stroke, orthopedic surgery, trauma, amputation, and medically complex conditions.
This full-time, community-based opportunity is ideal for a collaborative physician committed to high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation care. The position has no academic or research obligations and offers access to the clinical expertise, resources, and support of the Mass General Brigham system.

Role Overview
The Physiatrist serves as the attending physician and/or consultant for a typical census of 12–16 patients, managing medical and rehabilitation needs in partnership with an interdisciplinary team. The role includes daily rounding, admissions, rehabilitation-specific documentation, discharge planning, emergency response as needed, and participation in the hospital’s call rotation and assigned division activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily rounds and complete admission histories and physicals, progress notes, and discharge summaries
- Complete Physician Rehabilitation Assessments, individualized plans of care, and Interdisciplinary Team Conference documentation
- Manage an average of one admission per day, with a maximum of two
- Respond to rapid response events and codes as needed
- Participate in staff meetings and the call rotation, including weekends, typically on a 1:8 schedule
- Contribute to hospital or division activities as assigned
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board certified or board eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
- Eligible for medical licensure in Massachusetts
- Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred
- Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills

The salary range for this position is $200,000 to $350,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined during the selection process and is based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, education, and internal equity.
