Position Summary

Direct employees within the Transportation Department ensuring proper manpower and equipment utilization, compliance with government regulations and accomplishment of organization goals. Tuesday - Saturday, day shift.

Position Responsibilities:

Direct driver workforce identifying problem situations and applying proper disciplinary procedures when necessary.
Select and train new drivers as required.
Conduct and report thorough investigations of all traffic accidents involving drivers, company equipment, and cargo.
Maintain and monitor all driver's qualification files, logs (People Net), load reports and company equipment to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
Administer an effective Transportation safety program.
Pull Random Drug and Alcohol screens for drivers to be in compliance with DOT regulations.
Dispatch five days a week. Monitor ABC & CAMS payroll.
Perform annual audit of DOT qualification files and motor vehicle reports pertaining to employees driving history. (JJ Keller Encompass Program).

Position Requirements:

Supervisory experience in transportation, high school diploma, CDL preferred. Must have working knowledge of the FMCSRs and computer skills. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; deal effectively with people; perform basic mathematical calculations.
