Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire a Telecommunications, Media & Technology (TMT) Legal Practice Coordinator. The TMT Legal Practice Coordinator is responsible for providing a broad range of entry level administrative and legal support to the Firm’s TMT practice group in an environment where superior client service is emphasized. This position routinely engages with Practice Group attorneys, legal professionals and firm staff and develops analytical and project management skills while working under the guidance of more experienced team members . The TMT Legal Practice Coordinator performs routine and moderately detailed assignments, exercises judgment within established procedures, and escalates more complex matters as appropriate. This position requires careful handling of confidential information. The TMT Legal Practice Coordinator is also responsible for those projects delegated to them by the Legal Practice Support Management Team, the Senior Paralegal Specialist – TMT, and TMT Practice Group Attorneys.

Key responsibilities include:

- Assists with preparing and electronically filing documents at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), other federal agencies, state public utility commissions, and other regulatory authorities, under the direction of attorneys and more senior team members
- Assists with maintaining client and matter data used for filings at the FCC and other regulatory agencies and supports practice group data and filing systems
- Assists with monitoring, compiling, proofreading, and electronically distributing weekly and other practice group updates on legal and regulatory developments
- Assists attorneys and more senior team members with research and the preparation, organization, and review of routine documents and materials, including document productions
- Establishes, organizes, and maintains manual and electronic matter and client files and databases
- Assists with tracking filing deadlines, matter status, and outstanding items and follows up as directed
- Assists with coordination of communications and planning across attorney and legal practice support teams handling multiple client matters
- Provides entry level administrative and legal support for day-to-day client and practice management
- Participates in supervised communications with clients, agencies, and other third parties to exchange routine information and coordinate filing or matter logistics
- Assists the Firm’s Marketing and Business Departments with practice group webinars and other client-facing events on telecommunications regulatory and related topics
- Supports practice group initiatives related to business development, marketing, practice group training, and client engagement
- Provides overflow administrative support to the team as workload demands arise
- Performs other duties as assigned

Experience and qualifications:

- A bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred; and 1 year of professional experience preferred; professional services industry experience a plus; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to learn and maintain basic knowledge of research resources used by the TMT practice, which may include Lexis-Nexis, Westlaw, West Check, FCC databases, state commission websites, Secretary of State and other state agency resources, and Firm-approved AI tools
- Ability to learn and use electronic filing databases and portals, including FCC and state commission e-filing portals and other agency systems
- Ability to use Firm communication and document-sharing technologies, including Outlook, ClientSite, and secure file transfer tools
- Strong proofreading skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Time management and organizational skills to prioritize work
- Self-starter with a professional demeanor and ability to work independently
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with a wide range of individuals with differing opinions and diverse personalities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a collaborative team environment
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance competing demands and meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion

For positions in Washington, D.C., the salary range for this position is: $75,400.00 - $120,550.00.

The base salary or hourly wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, salary or hourly wages may be only part of the total compensation package. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
