The Senior Manager, Operations is responsible for leading day-to-day manufacturing operations at the El Dorado Hills facility to deliver safe, compliant, high-quality products in alignment with customer demand, operating plans, and financial commitments. The role translates business and site priorities into practical operating plans, establishes clear expectations, and holds the operations team accountable for execution.

This position leads manufacturing through front-line leaders and/or managers and partners closely with EHS, Facilities, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Process Development, Engineering, Research & Development, Customer Service, Finance, and Human Resources. The Senior Manager champions Danaher Business System (DBS), lean manufacturing, daily management, associate engagement, and continuous improvement to strengthen Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People performance.

This position reports to the Vice President, Marketing and GC Business Unit Manager and is part of the Operations Team located in El Dorado Hills, CA and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

- Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve production plans, shipment commitments, customer requirements, and site priorities through visible floor leadership, disciplined problem-solving, and timely escalation of significant risks or trade-offs.
- Translate annual operating objectives into clear departmental targets, visual management, standard work, and accountability for managers, supervisors, and associates. Lead daily management and apply continuous improvement tools to drive sustained improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, productivity, yield, capacity, and flow.
- Optimize capacity, labor, equipment, materials, and workflow while partnering with Logistics and Supply Chain to support material flow, inventory objectives, finished goods availability, and on-time delivery.
- Partner with Quality and Regulatory to resolve nonconformances, deviations, CAPAs, audit findings, and recurring quality issues while proactively identifying risks and sustaining corrective actions.
- Manage departmental spending, headcount, overtime, factory expenses, scrap, indirect labor, and other operating costs within approved budgets and policies.
- Review operational, financial, capacity, and forecast performance; address gaps through recovery plans and provide accurate input to budgets, forecasts, capital plans, and business reviews while maintaining appropriate control of company assets.
- Lead, coach, and develop the operations team through clear goals, timely feedback, succession planning, effective training, and partnership with Human Resources to recruit, onboard, retain, and address performance or conduct matters.

The essential requirements of the job include :

- Bachelor of Science degree in business, engineering or other science related subject area  plus 2 years of people management experience or 8+ years of directly related work experience combined with 2+ years of people management experience
- 5+ years’ experience in Gas Chromatography Instrumentation and Separations with extensive knowledge of Gas Chromatography column production
- Knowledgeable on ISO9001:2008 Standards and LEAN Principles
- Demonstrable competency with production planning, capacity management, cost management, quality systems, and cross-functional operations processes
- Working knowledge in planning and operation processes inclusive of Supply Chain, Cost Management and Logistics
- Experience in operational data analysis, performance metrics, budgeting, and financial drivers.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

- Ability to lead change, engage stakeholders, and build commitment through influence.
- Analytical and process-oriented thinking with a strong continuous-improvement mindset.
- Working understanding of the interrelationship among manufacturing, engineering, materials, supply chain, quality, and procurement.

The annual salary range for this role is $ 114,000 - 140,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees. Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, benefits, or any other form of compensation and benefits that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
