Inova is looking for a dedicated Revenue Cycle Analyst to join the team. This role will be full-time Monday through Friday hybrid.

Job Responsibilities:

- Independently investigates and resolves moderately complex claims, payment discrepancies, denials, underpayments, retractions, or workflow issues across one or more Revenue Cycle functions.
- Analyzes account- and population-level data to quantify financial exposure, identify patterns, validate root cause, and distinguish isolated errors from systemic issues.
- Interprets payer policies, plan requirements, claim edits, remittance information, and applicable contract provisions to support resolution and escalation.
- Determines whether an issue is driven by internal process, documentation or coding gaps, technology configuration, payer behavior, or contract ambiguity and recommend next actions.
- Builds and maintains recurring reports, issue logs, scorecards, or dashboards that track dollars at risk, aging, recoveries, trends, and resolution status.
- Translates root cause findings into workflow, education, system, or automation requirements and participate in testing and implementation.
- Provides peer support, knowledge sharing, and task guidance to Revenue Cycle Associates.
- Leverages advanced analytic tools to identify trends, root cause analysis and prioritize work
- Monitors implemented solutions to validate resolution, quantify financial or operational impact.
- Supports revenue cycle ad-hoc projects.
- May perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements

- Experience - 2 years of experience in Revenue Cycle, Finance, Healthcare IT, Healthcare Analytics, Healthcare Operations or relevant experience
- Education - Bachelor's degree; or Associate degree and 2 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum Experience requirement; or HS Diploma/GED and 4 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum Experience requirement.
