We're looking for a <strong>Director - Events & Experiences Marketing</strong> to own the Event business strategy for the portfolio of websites and the mobile app. The individual in role will partner deeply across organizations inclusive of events, tools, and integrated marketing to elevate the portfolio experiences for our audiences while optimizing for executional excellence. This is a program-level leadership role that will articulate drive the long-term vision of the web and mobile portfolio forward. The right candidate is a self-starter and true leader who drives quality and innovation across every dimension of the attendee digital experience elevating the experience for customers and driving efficiencies in how the work gets done. Scope and drive test and learn opportunities across web and mobile app that align to the events business strategy and advance and have the opportunity to drive significant business impact. Know and understand the web and mobile portfolio and the needs of your stakeholders deeply, follow and understand industry trends and best practices, so meaningful advancements can be made. </span></li><li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Direct a large agency team focused on delivery of UX/UI/Design setting creative and manage the agency ensuring accountability across deliverables. </span></li><li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Direct the development of governance across base experiences, change management, feedback frameworks, and intake processes. Eliminate and drive clarity to increase time to market. Review and action reporting that connects digital experience quality to business outcomes and surfaces actionable insights for leadership and event program owners.</span></li><li>Embody our <a href="https://careers.microsoft.com/v2/global/en/culture">Culture </a> & <a href="https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/about/corporate-values">Values.</a></li></ul><br><br><b>Qualifications</b><br><h3><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Required/minimum qualifications</span></h3><div><ul><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">5+ years business to business, business to consumer, digital, or experiential/event marketing experience OR equivalent experience.</span></li></ul></div><div><h3> </h3><h3><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Additional or preferred qualifications</span></h3></div><ul><li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">5-7+ years of experience in digital experience, marketing, or program management with a strong focus on web and/or mobile surfaces Deep industry knowledge of web and mobile event or marketing experiences — a clear, informed point of view on what great looks like and why Technical fluency in how websites and mobile applications function — not a developer, but able to engage credibly with engineering on platform architecture, site behavior, and feature feasibility</span></li><li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Demonstrated experience directing agency partners across web, mobile, and UX/AX disciplines — owning the relationship, setting direction, holding quality standards as an individual contributor Experience building or operating within design systems — understanding what they are, why they matter, and how to drive adoption Strong UX/UI design sensibility with the ability to provide directional, technically-informed feedback</span></li><li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Experience working with engineering or product teams to scope and prioritize features — comfortable translating experience needs into technical requirements and roadmap inputs Fluency in analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Clarity, Amplitude) with a track record of using data to drive experience improvements </span></li><li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Proven ability to lead through influence across senior stakeholders in complex, matrixed organizations Background in event marketing or event technology platforms, including familiarity with mobile event applications Experience contributing to or owning a product or platform roadmap Competitive analysis experience with a track record of translating findings into strategic action Familiarity with Microsoft brand standards or equivalent enterprise design systems</span></li><li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span id="content-1791391193283" dir="auto">Lead audience journey reviews across web and mobile experiences, ensuring a clear and impactful experience. </span> </span></li></ul> <br><br><p>Events IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year. </p><p></p> <p>Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
